American Ultraviolet Company is a Manufacturer of Germicidal and Curing Equipment. We are currently looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist. This position performs a variety of moderately difficult clerical duties in accounts payable and accounts receivable departments and resolves a variety of invoicing problems directly with suppliers/vendors.

Starting pay based on experience and is negotiable.

Essential Duties:

· Reviews accounts payable invoices for appropriate general ledger accounting numbers.

· Processes invoices and debit memos in an integrated business system for all companies.

· Works with purchasing to rectify invoice exceptions.

· Prepares check runs and processes the checks for signature.

· Resolves supplier problems in a timely manner.

· Oversees the processing of customer invoicing and credit card sales.

· Oversees the cash application process for all cash receipts.

· Responsible to have a copy of every Vendor/Supplier W-9 on file and update the business system accordingly.

· Sorts and files payable documents.

· Prepares and processes Sales and Use Tax returns for all companies.

· Perform account reconciliations relating to vendor deposits, inventory for all companies.

· Oversees maintenance of office equipment (copiers).

· Run month end reports and compile a monthly consolidated statements for all companies.

· Prepares 1099’s at year end for all companies.

· Assist in year end reporting and account reconciliations.

· Additional tasks assigned as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

· HS diploma and a minimum of 5 years accounting experience.

· Able to perform mid-level math calculations.

· Spreadsheet and data entry skills.

· Able to interact/communicate effectively with coworkers and suppliers/vendors.

· Significant understanding of accounts payable and receivable procedures.

· Must be detail oriented.
